Question by Tamborine: What kind of PDA Cell phone do you use and why do you like it or not like it?
I would like to buy a PDA cell phone and I'm interested in learning more about the different types and the advantages and disadvantages of each.

I am primarily interested in the ability to download outlook from my work computer so I have access to my computerized calendar away from the office.

I have a iPAQ 6315, i've been using it for almost 2 years now. It uses windows mobile so is extremely easy to use with existing programs(outlook,excell,word,ect...) the os is intuitive and easy to use, i would suggest getting a bluetooth keyboard if you use excell or word though, the screen is the largest of any pda phone that i know of(it doesn't have a useless keyboard taking up half the space) they no longer make it for t-mobile (or at all maybe?) but there's always some on ebay. it is somewhat fragile and like all microsoft products it freezes and you need to reset it now and then, but you don't lose any information other than what you were immediatly working on(normally making a call at the exact time you're getting one) bluetooth, quadband, multinational charger, detatchable thumb board, battery life about 24 hours with a lot of use(better batteries available). i've looked at the iPAQ 6515 and except for the smaller screen and integrated keyboard i would have it right now ;) good luck shopping!

a pocket pc is a great pda that is very compatable with your PC and its applications. Blackberries are made for pulling e-mail from a server and are extreamlly efficient at it, no matter what your e-mail set up is blackberries work with it. Trio's run Palm software and are becomming outdated and mainly used by the medical profession because of the medical applications that work on palm software. Pocket pc's and blackberries both have tons of business apps avaliable to them and both use Intel processors, blackberries are made for ease of use and are very easy to learn to use, pocket pcs have a larger screen but also need a stylus which means both hands to use, blackberries use a wheel only time you might use both hands is to type. Both work great when it comes to outlook e-mail and calendar and I know blackberrie with has the ability to update outlook calendar in real time but you gotta have your own enterprise server for that.
