Note, if you replace the screen and you receive a white screen, but the phone works normally aside that, the display connector is loose or not properly on its place, reconnect the cable as many times as it takes, until its in there properly touching all the pins, this was a abused phone and that might have had something to do with it why it was so difficult to get the new screen to show picture instead of just a white screen.
