Question by lols: how do i remove the headset icon from the display on my nokia phone?
even when the headphones are unplugged the headset icon still appears on the display and the application tones can't be heard

1. Switch off your cell. Remove battery and put it some time in direct sun light. If possible your headset jack facking sun face. You can also use your table lamp. Just bend it to cover phone.
2. You can also use your hair drier. Just blow the hot air towards your phone.

check for dirt or even lint inside the hole. thats what was wrong with mine.
